The well loved children's book illustrator and an associate lecturer on the Illustration BA of Plymouth Uni, Viv Schwarz, is coming in to treat us to a space themed portrait session. They say cat took over the internet; Viv is going to help them and you to spread to space: You, as a cat, in space! If you cannot sit still, Viv, is a super speed illustrator. Learn to Make Spacecraft - Launchers: DIY Spacecraft Controls Bring laptop if you want to join the hands on experience to understanding rockets. Pluto and Charon - A Planetary Waltz (2015) Inspired by New Horizons space mission's Pluto fly-by event this year, two contemporary classical music composers Catherine Kontz and Minna Orvokki Nygren explore the unusual relationship between the icy planet Pluto and its largest moon Charon through this piece of music. Commissioned by the Centre for Planetary Sciences UCL/Birkbeck, premièred recently. Price: Included in ticket |

Screenprint Your Extraterrestrial Beauty Join Jairo and Nicola to create mutant cats, otherworldly creatures or your own extraterrestrial beauty through the medium of screenprinting. You will also be able to take your creations away with you on the same day. Price: £10 per session (all materials included) |
